The dancers entertain and encourage fan participation at games played
by our professional women’s football team. Call us for details (972)513-

General Information
As a Lone Star Posse member, women are given the opportunity to
display their dance skills to entertain fans and promote the Lone Star
Mustangs Women’s Pro Football Team.
Dancers participate in educating the public and promote non-profit
organizations sponsored by the team. Dancers are also responsible for
assisting in the instruction of cheers, chants, and dances to our youth
squad. Being a Posse dancer allows individuals to bring awareness to
the sport as well as gain experience for future endeavors.
Requirements
The adult dancers are expected to participate in 4 home games, charity
appearances, and community events throughout the year. Dancers are
required to be at home games 2 hours prior to kickoff on Saturday
evenings and attend the family-oriented after-party celebrations.
Participation as a Lone Star Posse Dancer requires commitment to
attend all scheduled rehearsals, all home games, and community
events. Selected dancers are contracted for one year terms and
expected to present a professional appearance when representing the
team.
Uniform
Lone Star Posse Dancers have two uniforms. One is traditional with a
skirt and the other is casual with shorts to accommodate the hot weather
we will have during the game season. Dancers are responsible for
maintaining their uniforms. Any lost, stolen, or damaged articles of the
uniform are the dancers responsibility. Uniforms can only be worn at
Lone Star Mustangs and Posse functions. Practice attire is also strictly
enforced for safety reasons.
Financial Responsibilities
Dancers are required to purchase their two uniforms for approximately
$275.00. These uniforms belong to and are the property of the dancer.
In order to fund the uniform purchase, dancers can buyout by simply
paying for the uniform, participate in a raffle distribution, or gain
sponsorship funding. Dancers also have to opportunity to generate an
income with their participation in the Lone Star Mustangs as a member
of the Posse!
Personal Standards
There are no weight or height limits for our dancers. They are expected
to maintain a healthy weight and appearance. Extreme changes (weight
gain or loss; appearance changes) can result in being removed from
performances or public appearances or termination from the squad.
Practices
Dancers will participate in 10-15 practices prior to the first
performance/public appearance date. Once the season begins,
practices will be held 2 days per week. Attendance at home games on
Saturdays in April – July is required. Additional public appearances also
require attendance, and dates are scheduled well in advance. Dancers
missing practice will not be able to participate in game-day
performances.
The Audition Process
Applicants complete the application packet during the registration time
period before tryouts. Participants must be 18 by the date of the
audition/tryout to attend. The audition will begin with a stretch and
workout session. Please wear comfortable workout clothing with tennis
shoes. Please be prepared to perform your own cheer and chant for the
judging panel. A cheer and mini-dance routine will be taught and
performed in groups for the judges. Groups will then develop a dance
routine to perform together.
The dance auditions are $50.00 per participant. Potential dancers will
also participate in a professional interview consisting of 3-4 questions.
This is not to gain personal information, but to determine ability to
communicate with media and spectators at public functions.
