The Lone Star Mustangs is an organization that believes in
giving back to the community. One of our goals is to offer
opportunities to those that wish to be part of a team of
champions. We offer a wide range of ways for the
community to be involved and support our team. Many
people will ask, “Why volunteers?” We welcome volunteers
because they do not have to help us; they want to! The
support of volunteers shows the community that people
really want our organization to succeed. Our entire
organization is made of volunteers!
Internships
Our internship program offers those interested in gaining on-
the-job experience, an opportunity to learn new skills, and
apply them to potential future employment. Those interested
in a possible career change can take the time to explore new
avenues before jumping in feet first. The program offers
training, mentorship, and evaluation of new job skills. The
various internships provide individuals with resume material
in the areas of team building, coaching, leadership,
management, human resources, sports reporting/ analysis,
meeting/event planning, organizational behavior, sales,
audio/visual, journalism, public relations, marketing,
entrepreneurship, and advertising.
Volunteers
For individuals looking for a more informal situation, our
volunteer work allows experienced citizens the opportunity
to use their skills to benefit the community. Our team knows
that our success, both on and off the field, is highly
dependant on the assistance we get from our supporters.
The Lone Star Mustangs has a variety of tasks that must be
accomplished in order for us to successfully meet our goals
to be a winning team and giving organization. We offer
opportunities that range from one-time tasks or services to
daily and weekly support positions. Our position categories
