Lone Star Mustangs Come Out Shooting in 2010
|
Bedford, TX - April 10, 2010 - The Lone Star Mustangs came out shooting, scoring 32
points in the first quarter of their season and home opener at Pennington Field in Bedford,
TX. The Oklahoma City Lightning, with a relatively small roster, had a hard time stopping
anything the Mustangs threw their way.
At the beginning of the second quarter, the game went to running clock. The Mustangs just
could not be stopped. Players were switched out to gain valuable experience, of course
with safety in mind. LynMarie Liberty-Ellington, owner of the Mustangs stated
"OKC....nothing bad to say about the team. They did not give up. They are a team with a
lot of heart. We are glad they came down and we are sure they will be ready for us when
we travel to Oklahoma City on May 22, 2010. It is a well known fact that OKC has not been
beaten on their home turf....ever".
The final score was 62-0.
