Cylcones 20 - 12 on Saturday May 2, 2009! This is the first
official victory of the Lone Star Mustangs. The game was

game from the defensive tackle position with 7 tackles (4.5
for a loss) as well! Cadie "Socks" Larson, Daniela "Jersey"
Ottaiano, and Stuff Spencer each had interceptions and
returns for over 20 yards each! The defense as a team only
allowed one touchdown as the other H-Town touchdown
came on a kickoff return.

The two fullbacks and the quarterback led the offensive group of the Mustangs in rushing
yards. Stephanie "Freight Train" Wakefield had 14 carries for 52 yards and one touchdown.
Shug "Boom" Fossis carried the ball 14 times for 37 yards and 2 touchdowns. The
quarterback Jennifer Hull carried the ball 11 times for 36 yards and scored the 2 point
conversion after the last Mustangs' touchdown. Hull also connected with Brandice Mueller
for the longest reception of the day of 47 yards. Altogether, the Mustangs stampeded for
183 yards rushing and 82 yards passing. The primarily rookie offensive line of the Mustangs
should be proud of their performance against the defending national champions!
