| Lone Star Mustangs Stampede the Outlaws |
Austin, TX - May 8, 2010: The Lone Star Mustangs
stampeded through Austin defeating the Outlaws
by a score of 38-16 moving to 4-0 on the season.
The Mustangs put together another diverse
performance on offense with four different players
scoring against the Outlaw defense who had only
allowed 6 points in the 3 prior games. This win
gives the Mustangs the lead in the division for the
first time this year. The Austin Outlaws are the
defending division champions from 2009 and the
only team to have ever beaten the Lone Star
Mustangs. This was an excellent victory for the
Mustangs on the road.
Defensively, the leading tacklers of the Black Shirt
Defense for this week were #82 Daniela Ottaiano
(13 T, 3 TFL, 1 Sack), #90 Alex Harvey (8 T,7
TFL), #4 Jennifer Hull (8 T, 2 TFL), and #80 DJ
Gay (8 T, 3 TFL).

The leading rushers for the Mustangs this week were #3 Odessa Jenkins (14 carries, 157
yards) and #5 Brittany Satterwhite (11 carries, 89 yards). The leading receivers were #51
Yo Grant (3 rec, 61 yards) and #86 Melissa Beach (2 rec, 60 yards). Brittany Bushman
turned in a good game with a QB rating of 108.9.
After the game, Coach Mike Ellington of the Mustangs said "games with the Austin
Outlaws are always tough, hard fought, hard hitting games...both organizations play with
class and represent women's football very well. We look forward to seeing this team again
on June 12th when Austin comes to DFW".

currently undefeated (3-0) and boast one of the league's leading rushers, #11 Jessica
Plunkett who is averaging over 26 carries and 340 yards per game played. The question
to be answered this week is can the Black Shirt Defense slow the strong legs of
Plunkett......come watch for yourself at Pennington Field in Bedford, TX on May 15, 2010
